Find a Forever Friend with Blabla Kids

Blabla Kids has cute contemporary hand knit designs that can easily turn into a forever friend for your children.

When I was pregnant with E, I tried my hand at making stuffed toys for the boys.  The 3 I made ( one for each of the boys and one as a gift to a friend’s child) showed me just the tiniest glimpse of what it takes to make a toy by hand.  Since then I’ve gravitated towards a lot of handmade toys for the kids.

I came across Blabla Kids through Instagram of course.  Fellow mamas have talked about these adorable knitted dolls and I had to check it out for myself.  What I love is that their dolls are handmade, the yarn used is certified safe and non-toxic.

Meet Picchu, the alpaca! She loves taffy.

One of the other factors that attracted me to Blabla Kids was the fact that they promote fairtrade and sustainability.  If you check out their About Us section, they mention that they’ve been working with the artists that craft their items for 15 years! There are even some photos showing the process of how a doll comes about.

When Picchu arrived, I immediately noticed how soft she is.  You can tell how each part of the doll is carefully considered and crafted.  These are the kind of toys that I can see making really great gifts.  I also see them as something a child holds onto forever to maybe even pass down to their own child or relative.

I love all the little details they’ve added to make Picchu one of a kind and unique.  The pink cheeks, the blue added for the eyes, and the white yarn for the hair are some of touches I love.  E was very interested when I first showed her Picchu.  I slowly introduced her and E even reached out to grab her.

Of course all the excitement of meeting her new friend wore her out and she fell asleep with her new alpaca friend by her side. I love that she’s taken to it and is so interested in it! It’s a doll I hope E cherishes forever and maybe even pass down herself.

Be sure to check out Blabla Kids to see their cute knitted dolls and other equally adorable items!

  1. I like that this company promotes fairtrade and sustainability. Most companies do not do this. Your daughter is very cute. It looks like she likes her new toy. Thanks for sharing this post
